Capitol Squash Academy Christmas Competition 2025

On Saturday 20th December, Capitol Squash Academy hosted its annual Christmas Competition, and it was a fantastic way to round off the year.

With over 20 entrants, the club was buzzing with activity all day. A festive atmosphere filled the venue, complete with Christmas decorations, holiday music, and plenty of Santa hats. Spirits were high, and it was wonderful to see so many players, families, and supporters enjoying the day.

The competition featured four events:

Mini Squash

There was some excellent squash on display, with many closely contested matches throughout the day.
The final results were:

Mini Squash
1st Place – Faith
2nd Place – Danielle
3rd Place – Phoebe

C Grade
1st Place – Wes
2nd Place – Gloria
3rd Place – Flossy

B Grade
1st Place – William
2nd Place – Grace
3rd Place – Daniel

A Grade

We also presented our Player of the Year awards:

A Grade Player of the Year: Grace

The day also included a fantastic raffle, with the top three prizes kindly donated by the Committee:

1st Prize – Squash Racket, won by Indigo
2nd Prize – Squash Bag, won by Joe
3rd Prize – Squash Balls, won by Grace

A big thank you goes to Pietro for sponsoring the trophies and medals for the competition. The pizzas and donuts were a huge hit as well and helped keep everyone fuelled throughout the day.

Overall, it was a brilliant celebration of squash, community, and Christmas spirit.

The future of squash at Capitol is very bright indeed!
